Life Science buffere

Balancerede saltopløsninger og pulvere, der anvendes til molekylære, protein-, nukleinsyre- og cellebiologiske anvendelser, herunder cellekultur, elektroforese, ELISA og kromatografiprocesser; tilgængelig i en række forskellige formuleringer og kvaliteter.

Bufferopløsninger tjener til at holde pH (surhed eller alkalinitet) næsten konstant i en række kemiske og biologiske anvendelser. For eksempel hjælper en bikarbonatbuffer med at opretholde pH-værdien i blodet, en bufferet saltvand opretholder cellulært indhold på et ensartet pH-niveau, og buffere hjælper med at opretholde et snævert pH-område for enzymer til at fungere korrekt.

De fleste biologiske prøver, der anvendes i forskning, holdes ved en pH på omkring 7,4. Almindelige biologiske buffere, der anvendes til vævskultur, omfatter Dulbeccos phosphatbufret saltvand (PBS), Tris-base, HEPES, MOPS, PIPES og andre formuleringer udviklet til specifikke cellelinjer eller anvendelser. De fleste buffere, der anvendes i cellekultur, er også DNase-, RNase- og proteasefrie.
