Description

Widely used in molecular biology, biochemistry and chromatography. Sodium Phosphate, Dibasic, Heptahydrate, MP Biomedicals is a reagent with very high buffering capacity. It is highly hygroscopic, water soluble and useful (with Sodium Phosphate Monobasic)

Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate is use in many applications such as:

  • Sequestrant, emulsifier and buffer in foods
  • As mordant in dyeing, for weighting silk and in tanning
  • In manufacturing of enamels, ceramics, detergents
  • As a fireproofing agent in soldering and brazing instead of borax
  • As a reagent and buffer in analytical chemistry, cathartic, laxative
