Description
SartoScale disposable filter devices are ready-to-use, disposable 47mm flat filter discs constructed of original PES membranes in polypropylene housing. The use of disposables for filtration trials avoids time-consuming preparation of filter discs in stainless steel filter holders and prevents installation mistakes of the flat filter discs.- Ideally suited to perform all kinds of filterability trials, including:
- Selecting the optimal membrane material for a certain application
- Determining the best combination of pre-/final filters with minimum product volumes
- Use the original active materials from the final filter cartridges to ensure reproducible test results
- Optimized design features ultra-low hold-up and dead volumes for trials that use minimal product volumes
- Membrane filters can be integrity tested by a bubble-point test to assure reliable test results
- After selecting the right membrane or pre/final filter combination, a scale-up for flow rate and throughput performance should be done (using small scale pleated capsule devices)
- Use with the Zero-T-Test System for more effective filtration trials
- The Zero-T System consists of hardware and software that allow easy handling and installation of the SartoScale filter test disposables
- Automatic data acquisition is achieved by the connection of a balance to a laptop
- The software analyses automatically the incoming data for scale-up calculations.
