Rapid V. Cholerae Tests O139 are used for the qualitative detection of Vibrio cholerae serogroup O139 in human fecal specimens, environmental water or solid food specimens.

  • Rapid V. Cholerae O139 Test is an immunochromatographic membrane assay that uses highly sensitive antibodies to detect V. cholerae antigens in stool sample, environmental water or solid food specimens.
  • The reagent pad of the test strip contains colored colloidal gold conjugated with monoclonal antibodies against V. cholerae O139 antigens.
  • The reaction membrane contains the secondary antibodies for V. cholerae O139 antigens, which are pre-immobilized in the test line.
  • This test is only to be used by healthcare professionals. It cannot be used alone as the basis for the diagnosis and exclusion of cases.
