Because of its low molecular weight, Sodium hexanesulfonate will not form micelles in solution and therefore has no CMC value. This product is used for ion-pair chromatography. It is also utilized in the analysis of small organic compounds, pharmaceutical products and metabolites by such techniques as HPLC.
