Beskrivelse

This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

  • Also known as: Tem8; Antrx1; 2310008J16Rik; 2810405N18Rik
  • ANTXR1 is a type I transmembrane protein and is a tumor-specific endothelial marker that has been implicated in colorectal cancer.
  • It has been shown to also be a docking protein or receptor for Bacillus anthracis toxin, the causative agent of the disease, anthrax.
  • The binding of the protective antigen (PA) component, of the tripartite anthrax toxin, to ANTXR1 mediates delivery of toxin components to the cytosol of cells.
  • Once inside the cell, the other two components of anthrax toxin, edema factor (EF) and lethal factor (LF) disrupt normal cellular processes.
  • The TEM8/ANTXR1 insert is sequence verified and the entire plasmid DNA and insert translated sequences are provided.
