Beskrivelse

This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

  • Also known as: Eyk; Mer; Nyk; nmf12
  • Mer is a member of the MER/AXL/TYRO3 receptor kinase family.
  • It is a transmembrane protein with two fibronectin type-III domains, two Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains, and one tyrosine kinase domain.
  • Mutations in Mer have been associated with disruption of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) phagocytosis pathway and onset of autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa (RP).
  • The insert is sequence verified and the entire plasmid DNA and insert translated sequences are provided.
