Acid-washed with an extremely low ash content of <0.01% for quantitative analysis and gravimetric applications. Macherey-Nagel™ MN 640 de Grade Ashless Filter Papers, Round are smooth-surface filter papers that perform very slow filtrations of very fine particulates.
Brand: Macherey-Nagel™ 207012
Description
High quality ashless MN filter papers are manufactured from refined pulp and linters with a high level of α-cellulose (about 95%). Cotton linters are short-fiber seed hairs from cotton seeds, which cannot be used for textile purposes, but which are highly suitable for the manufacture of soft and absorbent filter papers. In addition to cotton linters, Macherey-Nagel uses mainly pulp, which is obtained by chemical treatment of plant materials, e.g. coniferous or deciduous wood.
- Applications: Routine quantitative analysis, gravimetric applications, sulfates fine crystalline analysis
- For very slow speed filtration of very fine particulates (particle retention: 0-2μm +)
