Description
Lithium acetylide ethylenediamine complex is used in the synthesis of a chiral cyclopropanol. It is also used as an alkynylating reagent for the enantioselective alkynylation of ketones catalyzed by lithium binaphtholate without using other metal sources.

Lithiumacetylideethylendiaminkompleks anvendes til syntese af en chiral cyclopropanol. Det bruges også som et alkynyleringsreagens til enantioselektiv alkynylering af ketoner katalyseret af lithiumbinaphtholat uden brug af andre metalkilder.
Opløselighed Opløselig i ethylendiamin, n-
propylamin, n-butylamin, pyridin, dimethylformamaid, diglyme, dioxan og dimethylsulfoxid.
Noter
Fugt- og lysfølsom. Opbevares køligt. Uforeneligt med alkoholer, syrer, oxidationsmidler, vand. Det reagerer med vand og danner lithiumhydroxid og acetylen, som er en brandfarlig gas. Over tid kan trykket stige, hvilket får beholderne til at briste. Håndter og åbn beholderen forsigtigt.
