Beskrivelse

This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

  • Also known as: FH3; PC9; NARC1; LDLCQ1; NARC-1; HCHOLA3
  • PCSK9 is a member of the subtilisinlike proprotein convertase family, which includes proteases that process protein and peptide precursors trafficking through regulated or constitutive branches of the secretory pathway.
  • It is expressed in liver, intestine and kidney tissues and escorts specific receptors for lysosomal degradation.
  • It plays a role in cholesterol and fatty acid metabolism.
  • Mutations in PCSK9 have been associated with autosomal dominant familial hypercholesterolemia.
  • Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different proteins have been described.
  • The insert is sequence verified and the entire plasmid DNA and insert translated sequences are provided.
