Description
- Recognizes human CXCL1
- CXCL1 is a member of CXC family (keratinocyte-derived chemokines, KC or growth-realated oncogene, GRO)
- Expressed by macrophages, neutrophils and epithelial cells
- CXCL1 binds specifically to CXC chemokine receptor CXCR2, involved in fibrogenesis and angiogenesis
- Plays a role in inflammation and as a chemoattractant for neutrophils
- Upregulated in some types of human cancer (colorectal, bladder, breast, prostate and skin cancer)
Process:
- Antibody specific for CXCL1 pre-coated onto microwells
- CXCL1 protein in samples captured by the coated antibody after incubation
- After extensive washing, another antibody of biotinylated specific for human CXCL1 is added to detect captured human CXCL1 protein
- For signal development, Streptavidin-HRP is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent
- Solution containing sulfuric acid used to stop color development and color intensity
- Proportional to quantity of bound protein, measurable at 450 nm with correction wavelength set at 630 nm
