The Invitrogen™ E-Gel™ Power Snap Lite system, consisting of the E-Gel™ Power Snap Lite Electrophoresis Device* and E-Gel™ Power Snap Lite Camera*, enables fast, convenient E-Gel™ agarose gel electrophoresis for up to 22 samples per run, from sample loading to gel imaging. Using dry, precast E-Gel agarose gel technology, DNA samples can be run in as little as 10 minutes while separation is monitored in real time. This benchtop system integrates DNA separation and gel imaging into a single workflow.

Small, fast, and powerful

The all-in-one E-Gel Power Snap Lite Electrophoresis System supports DNA gel electrophoresis, gel visualization and imaging in a compact, lightweight benchtop instrument. The system includes an integrated power supply, blue-light transilluminator, and amber filter, enabling gel separation and real-time sample tracking on E-Gel agarose gels pre-stained with SYBR Safe or SYBR Gold II DNA stains. It also comes with preprogrammed protocols for each available E-Gel agarose gel type.

Dry, precast E-Gel agarose gels for added convenience

With dry, precast, pre-stained E-Gel agarose gels, DNA or RNA samples can be run in as little as 10 minutes. This technology helps save time and simplify workflows by eliminating the need for gel preparation and staining. E-Gel agarose gels are available in multiple gel percentages and with a choice of two DNA stains.

The E-Gel Power Snap Lite Electrophoresis System is compatible with low-throughput E-Gel precast agarose gels, including E-Gel EX, E-Gel SYBR Safe, E-Gel CloneWell II, and E-Gel SizeSelect II gels.

Instant image capture

The included E-Gel Power Snap Lite Camera* makes it easy to control gel runs and capture high-resolution images as you work. The camera docks directly to the E-Gel Power Snap Lite Electrophoresis Device and requires no external power supply or desktop computer connection, allowing you to manage the entire gel run workflow right at the bench.

Designed for convenience

The E-Gel Power Snap Lite Camera touchscreen and onboard software allow an intuitive interface for fast image capture and editing. Images can be stored in the camera's internal memory for months of use or transferred easily to an external USB storage device. The E-Gel Power Snap Lite Camera includes an automatic gel capture workflow that enables multiple images to be captured at defined time intervals while you are away from the bench. When you return, your images are available in the internal image gallery.

An ideal choice for cloning workflows

The blue-light transilluminator in the E-Gel Power Snap Lite Electrophoresis Device helps maximize user safety and can improve cloning efficiency compared with ethidium bromide/UV when used with E-Gel CloneWell II agarose gels.

*The E-Gel Power Snap Lite Device is compatible only with the E-Gel Power Snap Lite Camera. Neither product is compatible with other cameras in the E-Gel Power Snap family. Both products are intended exclusively for E-Gel agarose gel electrophoresis and imaging.
