ApplicationsIt is applied as a potent, long-acting local anesthetic. It is used as an anaesthetic agent for spinal anaesthesia. More commonly it is a component in rectal medications used in inflammation of the anus and for the symptomatic treatment of haemorrhoids and fissures in the anus.
Solubility
Freely soluble in water, alcohol, acetone, or chloroform
Notes
Store away from oxidizing agents. Keep the container tightly closed and place it in a cool, dry and well ventilated condition.
