Liquids unsuitable for the seripettor pro include, but are not limited to:

  • Hydrofluoric acid, or other chemicals that attack high-density polyethylene,PTFE, ETFE, FEP, PFA, alumina-ceramic, platinum-iridium, and borosilicate glass
  • Carbon disulfide
  • Density exceeding 2.2g/cm
  • Viscosity exceeding 300mm2/sec (2mL instrument), 150mm2/s (10mL instrument), 75mm2/s (25mL instrument)
  • Vapor pressure up to 500mbar
Temperature of instrument and reagents must be between 59° and 104°F (15° and 40°C).
Agar culture media to 140°F (60°C).
