Udvinding af metaller

Ekstraktion af metaller.Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphat anvendes som smøremiddeladditiv, korrosionsinhibitor og metalekstraktionsmiddel. Det er involveret i opløsningsmiddelekstraktion af uransalte og sjældne jordarters metaller. Jern(II)-ioner ekstraheres efter reduktion af jern(III)-ioner. Yderligere bruges det som blødgører og som opløsningsmiddel i syntesen af plast.
