Beskrivelse

Used to prepare antigen-adjuvant emulsions. BD™ Difco™ Adjuvants are used in immunological studies with laboratory animals. (Not intended for human or therapeutic use.)

  • Adjuvants are mixed with aqueous antigen solution or suspension
  • Once injected, they provide a pool of emulsified antigen at the injection site and allow the antigen to be released over an extended period of time
  • With adjuvants, the immune response to antigens (especially soluble antigens) is enhanced and prolonged
  • Use Incomplete Freund adjuvant to avoid the use of acid-fast bacilli; however, the antibody response is not as marked as with the complete adjuvant
