Description
- Recognizes human M-CSF
- M-CSF is a haematopoietic growth factor, which controls survival, proliferation, differentiation and function of mononuclear phagocytes
- Plays a role in bone metabolism, fertility, pregnancy and inflammatory processes
Process:
- Antibody specific for M-CSF pre-coated onto microwells
- M-CSF protein in samples captured by the coated antibody after incubation
- After extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for M-CSF is added to detect captured M-CSF protein
- For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent
- Solution containing sulfuric acid used to stop color development and color intensity
- Proportional to quantity of bound protein, measurable at 450 nm with correction wavelength set at 630 nm
