Description
- Recognizes human HGF
- HGF most potent mitogen of mature hepatocytes in primary culture
- Dericed from biologically inactive single chain precursor fo 728 amino acids localized on cell surface and extracellular matrix
- HGF is pleiotropic cytokine which exerts variety of effects on several cells, being involved in regulating many biological processes
Process:
- Antibody specific for HGF pre-coated onto microwells
- HGF protein in samples captured by the coated antibody after incubation
- After extensive washing, horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated detection antibody specific for HGF is added to detect captured HGH protein
- For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent
- Solution containing sulfuric acid used to stop color development and color intensity
- Proportional to quantity of bound protein, measurable at 450 nm with correction wavelength set at 630 nm
