The Aluora MultiSpeck Spectral Calibration Bead Slide is a spectral fluorescence standard compatible with all fluorescence microscopes and instruments that capture data from standard glass slides for optical alignment and illumination correction across a wide range of excitation sources.
The Aluora MultiSpeck Spectral Calibration Bead Slide has a uniform high density of ~4 μm-diameter microspheres that are compatible with a wide range of laser excitation sources (350 nm to 810 nm), LED excitation sources (375 nm to 730 nm), and standard fluorescent lamps. The beads emit fluorescence from 385 nm to 860 nm, making them ideal for optical alignment and illumination correction tasks.

Versatile applications
- Spectral responses of different filters and lenses—the proprietary fluorophore mixture in the microspheres mimics the spectral properties of a wide variety of dyes, allowing fluorescence measurement from almost any combination of excitation and emission filters
- Illumination correction—enables objective illumination correction for evenness of fluorescence signal throughout the visible field
- Image registration—identifies x-y image registration differences when using multiple filters, enabling optical alignment compensation for filter variations
- Multiband filters—the multispectral microspheres emit multiple colors, which can be observed through multiband filters, providing unique color combinations for comprehensive spectral analysis
