ApplicationsEbselen inhibits 5-LO, CO, NADPH oxidize, and protein kinase C. It is a potent antioxidant. It possesses a unique glutathione peroxidase-like activity. It is also shown to be an inhibitor of free radical induced apoptosis and neuroprotective agent.
Solubility
Soluble in ethanol, methanol, acetone, acetonitrile.
Notes
Store away from strong oxidizing agents. Keep container tightly closed. Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed containers.
