Fatty acid-binding protein 7 belongs to the Calycin super family or the Fatty-acid binding protein (FABP) family of proteins. FABP7 (BLBP, B-FABP) is involved in the transport of some hydrophobic ligands with potential morphogenic activity during CNS development.
